ELK POINT REAL ESTATE

Elk Point Alberta Located in the northeastern part of Alberta, Elk Point is surrounded by many scenic lakes and provincial campsites. Elk Point was incorporated as a town in 1962, and has a population of approximately 1500.

Situated on highway 41, it is about 250 km east of Edmonton. They offer their community and visitors a full range of services. Their economic base is agriculture, oil and gas, a salt plant, and the manufacturing of trusses. Tourism is very active in Elk Point. A fur trade interpretive center is located at the Buckingham House, and the Fort George Fort is open in the summer for tourists.

A 32-foot statue of Hudson's Bay surveyor, Peter Fidler was carved by a chainsaw, and overlooks Elk Point on the north hill.

Today, Elk Point has a population nearly 1,500 people and it's land mass covers almost 4 square kilometers.
